St Anne's has implemented a 'Creative Curriculum' throughout the school, allowing our children to work collaboratively and independently both indoors and out. With continuous provision featuring throughout our Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 departments, as well as a range of independent activities available throughout Key Stage 2, our children quickly become independent learners where they are able to explore for themselves in an enjoyable and creative way.
Each year group has its own topics in which all subject areas are covered, making our curriculum more diverse, appealing and purposeful for each learner. Children often take part in a range of visits and trips both locally and further afield, giving our children new opportunities and experiences, which later inspire many of our children to learn.
To make our curriculum appealing to all, we not only focus on the core subjects; English, Maths, Science, ICT and RE, but understand the importance of other valuable subjects like PE, Music and Drama. We value initiatives like 'Sing-Up' and embrace new technology, allowing us to strengthen our relationships with charities around the world, like 'The Goodlife Orphange' in Kenya. Teaching in a cross-curricular way not only makes our curriculum richer, but more enjoyable for all and allows us to meet the needs of each child.
