Welcome to Nursery

A very warm welcome to Nursery at St Anne’s Audenshaw!

My name is Mrs Keary and I am the Nursery Teacher. I am supported by our wonderful Teaching Assistant, Mrs Crowther. We are delighted to welcome you and your child to Nursery and are looking forward to an exciting year of learning, discovery and fun.

Throughout the year, we will be following our Nursery curriculum, providing engaging learning opportunities that encourage children to develop their confidence, independence and curiosity through play and exploration.

Our first topic is ‘All About Me’. During this topic, the children will learn about themselves, their bodies, their families and friendships. This is a fantastic opportunity for the children to share their experiences, build relationships and develop a positive sense of self.

A few important reminders:

• PE takes place on Tuesday mornings. Nursery children do not need to bring a PE kit as they will not be getting changed for PE lessons.
• We will take part in singing sessions every Wednesday morning, which are always a fun and enjoyable part of the week.

We are very excited to get to know your children and support them as they grow, learn and flourish throughout the year. We look forward to working in partnership with you and sharing a fun-filled year of learning and exciting experiences.
