Information relating to Incident in Manchester
There seem to be rumours circulating around police presence and armed guards.
There is an increased number of police, including armed patrols out in communities following yesterday’s incident. These are general patrols aimed at providing community reassurance and there is no need to be alarmed.
There is no intelligence relating to a threat to schools and GMP are not advising any schools to close.
SUMMER BARBEQUE
Any donations will be gratefully received. We are raising money for new library shelving this year.
Please ensure that all children have had sun cream applied prior to the start of the school day and that they have either a cap or hat in school as much of the day will be spent outdoors.
School will have some sun screen in school on that day and are happy to encourage children to apply it. Please inform your child’s class teacher in writing if you do not wish your child to take advantage of this opportunity.
PARKING AND NEIGHBOUR RELATIONS
I am, once again asking for your assistance in this area. It would appear that despite constant reminders some parents are still parking across the drives of our neighbours. This is only serving to upset our neighbours and cause an increased work load for school. Please could I, once again, request that everyone respects the residents in neighbouring homes. Please contact the Police immediately if you are at all concerned about the manner in which other parents either park or conduct themselves in the immediate vicinity.
