Headteacher’s Welcome

I am immensely proud and privileged to be the Acting Headteacher at St Anne’s Roman Catholic Primary School and to work with experienced and dedicated staff, visionary governors and supportive parents to provide the best education and life opportunities for the children in our care.

With our Catholic faith at the centre of everything we do, our carefully designed curriculum is broad and balanced and full of exciting learning opportunities.  We believe in providing a first class education for all pupils. We know that in order to achieve this, our children need to be happy, safe and inspired to learn during their time with us. We maintain an environment of high standards and excellent behaviour.  Our children are kind, respectful and an absolute pleasure to teach.

From the moment pupils join us in the Early Years, we take time to understand and embrace their individual strengths and characters to ensure that learning experiences challenge and engage them to achieve success, not only academically, but socially, morally, spiritually and culturally.

At St Anne’s, we believe excellence and enjoyment go hand in hand. Visitors, trips and special events are built into our curriculum to bring learning to life; and we have a variety of clubs and activities in music, the arts, sport and dance to encourage pupils to develop key skills, pursue their interests and explore new ones.

We empower children to grow to be confident and independent, knowing they have a voice, feel heard and that they can make a difference. We build on teamwork and leadership skills, teaching the importance of treating each other with respect and love by following in the footsteps of Jesus.

We know that choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent/ carer and would encourage you to come and visit us. Please contact our office on 0161 370 8698 to make an appointment to see for yourself what makes St Anne’s so unique.
